Over-riding Device Filters

This article by Danny Chen saved me a lot of hassle trying to get my ASP menu’s working in Safari. ASP.NET seems to differ the output for some controls based on the browser. My sub-classed menu control was looking great in IE and FF but had a completely difference output source in Safari. Checking for browser type in the code and clearing the device filter for Safari/ Apple browsers resulted in identical page source being output for Safari. What a pain in the ar$e ASP controls can be.
